I came online in July of 1999 using web tv. The very first thing I did when I signed online was look to find how to go to “Chat” then, I typed in “grandparent”. My first grandchild was going to be born in October and I wanted to let the whole world know that I was going to be a grandparent!! I wanted to find out all I could about being the best grandparent I could be, I never had any of my own. Little did I know by typing in those two words that day that I would find myself a whole new family.

This chat room is like home to most who go there. We laugh, we cry, we love, we support, we help, we play and most of all we love each other, well most of the time anyway.. haha.. all families have their squabbles, right? I love working with the e-mail pages, manipulating graphics and making names/name tags for my online friends. Being amongst this wonderful group of people in the Grand-Parenting Chat Room, has changed my life dramatically.

I have been to Nashville, TN; South Bend, Indiana; and the two Knoxville meetings, which I kind of had a little part in. Everyone does the best they can to attend these meetings so they can put faces with friends they already love. That’s the best feeling in the world when you're being loved from the inside out. We have people from all walks of life in our room and would love to have you join us.
