Hello.. I'm Ray Aka paparayny and also Elmer to the twims
I've been in the greatest room on the net (parenting-grandparents)
for nearly 3 1/2 years now. Like most of us, I started when the room was located on talkcity, and followed it to dream-chat and now finally to the coolchat server.A little about me:
I proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1974 where I was an
F-8 Crusader plane Capt. After the Navy, I went to work at LTV
Aircraft Co, based in Arlington, TX. ( I went to school at co.factory...Now Banned from Arlington Bowling Alleys). Then I moved back to NY after loss of Gov't Contract.It was during my Naval tour, while home on leave, in Nov of 1971
that I met Margie (nannym) in a bar one weekend.. (wow! talk about love at first sight!)... and we were married the following July
1972. We've been happily married for 30 yrs, and have two children, and 4 grand children... two of whom live with us.I was a volunteer Fireman in my hometown of Medford for 7 years
and began collectings Beer mugs from different Fire Stations on Long Island, and Parades I've attended....now I have about 35 mugs.When I'm not online I'm usually playing with the grands, watching NY sports,(Mets,Jets,Islanders) except basketball or the Yankees, or reading Tom Clancy.
I'm lost without my computer (ask Just, if she's not on the phone with techy). She spends a lot of time whisperin stuff in his ear, she
says.I've been to the Foxwood CT meeting and then to the Laughlin, NV meeting last year. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and really look forward to the Laughlin meeting again this year.
