Which translation of the Bible should I use?
To start with, pick one that's easy to understand. The New Living Translation is a good one. Once you've read the Bible several times in that version, you can move on to a more literal translation. I believe the New American Standard Bible is the most accurate English translation today.
Some people may try to tell you that you should only read the King James Version. The King James Version isn't too bad, really, if thou canst understand the old English. But I don't believe that it's the only good translation or the most accurate.
Jehovah's Witnesses have produced their own translation called the New World Translation. This version has some serious mistranslations in it, designed to agree with their erroneous teachings. I recommend you avoid it. Write me if you want more information.
